Steps For a Successful Weight Loss


It is impossible to underestimate the results of positive thinking in every aspect of our lives. The positive thinking is equally important in the weight loss process. If you think of yourself as fat and hate yourself for that the chances are you will not succeed in your weight loss process. All positive changes start with self love.

Steps for successful weight loss:

1. Your major goal and the first step in the weight loss process should be to start loving and accepting yourself the way you are.

2. Now decide why you want to lose weight. Is it because people make fun of you or do you get turned down for dates or just want to look like as you favorite movie star? The reasons might also be the extra weight related health problems such as lower back problems, joint problems, high blood pressure or numerous of others. Write down all the reasons why you want to lose weight, preferably on sticky post-it notes and attach them in places you spend the most of your time and especially on the refrigerator so each time you reach for an unhealthy food there will be an important reminder in front of your eyes not to do that.

3. To help you visualize the end result successfully, make some collages. From the magazines cut pictures of movie stars or other celebrities that have the body you want to have. Attach them next to your pictures to have visual reminders where you are and where you are going. You can also attach your head shot to the ideal body that you want. This way you will actually SEE yourself slim that will help to re-program your subconscious mind.

4. Decide what your ideal weight is and how much weight you need to lose to attain it. Set your goal. Consider losing 2-3 pounds a week and set your milestones. This way you will have the realistic deadlines that will motivate you to move forward with your goals.
